I build guitar pedals.

I occasionally build my own effect pedals. Here is a Fuzz Face copy that I built. It's got Russian germanium transistors inside and it's pretty good. I get most of my circuits from Guitar FX Layouts. Most of their layouts are on veroboard, which is fine for people like me who mainly build for themselves, or sometimes for friends. Tagboard can be cool too - I've done a couple, which I will post about another day.
